Burg, H.: Collisions of vehicles running from opposite directions – how accurate can calculations be and which control parameters are useful?
Vehicles immediately after collision and beginning data for the Skoda
The reconstruction of sliding or non-sliding collision of vehicles running from opposite directions is a challenge for the reconstructionist.
The problems result partly from lack of standardized principles in the field of securing and interpreting traces, performing tests as well as their technologies and calculation procedures, and partly from lack of collision optimal models.
The author focused his attention on the reconstruction of real accidents, in particular, input data scatter bands and their effect on calculation results.
