English, 9 pages, 12 figures, 15 references

First of all the safety position RISP (Rear Impact Self Protection) is explained and described. In March 2008 DSD (Dr. Steffan, Datentechnik in Linz) held a seminar, during which tests with volunteers were conducted, to achieve comparing measurements with normal seating position and the safety position RISP. Regarding the change in extension angle and the characteristics of the head accelerations these tests on the DSD sledge system showed that the safety position RISP leads to significantly lower strain.
