In several tests of human viewing behaviour the dependence of blink-rate and the mental load of
the test persons was analysed. The degree of concentration and tiring effects can be detected by blink
frequencies and the occurrence of flurries (three or more blinks within a 3 s period of time).
For the first time ever in coherence with view analyses, the degree of tiredness and attention has
been verified by driving on several different road types in Austria.
