White, I.: The Forensic Analysis of an Airborne Roll-Over. 19. EVU Conference, Prague

The paper describes an airborne roll-over, which resulted in the ejection of one occupant through the canvas roof of a sports car.
The forensic evidence obtained from the examination of both the scene and the vehicle is discussed and the vehicle’s movement up to the roll-over reconstructed.
The loss of control and the subsequent airborne roll-over is simulated in PC-Crash and contrasted with the forensic conclusions reached from an analysis of the damage to the vehicle and the injuries sustained by the occupants and the eye witness evidence.
The mechanism for the occupant ejection from the vehicle is deduced from the damage to the roof and the injuries sustained by the occupants.
The approach to the accident site and the subsequent airborne motion are displayed as videos suitable for use as a Court presentation.
