This paper deals with data from airbag control units. In the follow-up of an accident test, it was intended to compare data stemming from the airbag control unit with those from the event data recorder and from a measurement platform respectively. However, the airbag manufacturers did not provide the relevant data from the airbag control unit. The author draws conclusions and outlines consequences of such behaviour for the forensic expert.
