The changes in the tachograph legislation in connection with new technologies like Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC), Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and their security requirements do not bring the hoped-for improvements for the needs of traffic accident analysis. But there is still the possibility to influence the content of the technical annex.
