The bachelor thesis deals with the question why and when the speed indicators of motorcycles vary to the truth speed. Important influences like tire geometry, road-tire grip, influence of the driver … are mathematically described.
Beside the theoretical beginnings the thesis deals with the possibilities of measuring the variation of the speed indicator while driving.
The result of the bachelor thesis is the building up of a measuring motorcycle and a test device to determine the radial tire stiffness under simulated slope. The measuring motorcycle realizes the documentation of the speed indicator deviation according to the combined influences and driving condition.
