With the help of the 69 experimental results presented, the natural roll frequency of standard cars varies within a small range between 1.8 and 2.2 Hz. Therefore, the collision speed derived from a natural roll frequency of 1.9 Hz is insensitive with respect to the real natural roll frequency of the specific car. The problem lies in determining the exact fraction of a complete oscillation by examining the scratch trace. At least it is possible to determine the order of magnitude of the collision speed with sufficient reliability.
