König, T.: Simulation calculation quality upon assessing the accident studies
Based on the accident studies selected there was analyzed which conditions must be mandatorily met by the actual situations, with a view to obtaining the results as accurate as possible regarding the collision speed. Following reconstruction of selected accident studies in PC-Crash and the tests’ original data (tracks’ direction, vehicles’ centers of gravity, vehicles’ speeds etc.) new calculations were performed, by deliberately using false, yet still realistic data within an accident analysis, regarding the input speed. It was shown that, despite the “false” input speeds, it is possible that the vehicles get to their final, real positions based on the parameter variations.
