After traffic accidents with pedestrians involved it is often the task of an accident analytic technical expert to make a statement of avoidance. Finding out the pedestrian's speed plays a key role in the calculations done. A comprehensive study analysing the speed of pedestrians was published in 1977 by Eberhardt and Himbert [1]. A research study completed by Reske [2] in 1992 focused in the pedestrian speed amongst elder people.
